Release Me By J.Kenner

Release MeFor fans of Fifty Shades of Grey and Bared to You comes an erotic, emotionally charged romance between a powerful man who’s never heard “no” and a fiery woman who says “yes” on her own terms.

He was the one man I couldn’t avoid. And the one man I couldn’t resist.

Damien Stark could have his way with any woman. He was sexy, confident, and commanding: Anything he wanted, he got. And what he wanted was me.

Our attraction was unmistakable, almost beyond control, but as much as I ached to be his, I feared the pressures of his demands. Submitting to Damien meant I had to bare the darkest truth about my past—and risk breaking us apart.

But Damien was haunted, too. And as our passion came to obsess us both, his secrets threatened to destroy him—and us—forever.

Release Me is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

Holly's Review:

There are a lot of books out there now being marketed as ‘if you liked Fifty Shades you’ll love….blah, blah, blah’ and a lot of them with the same premise are very good, some not so much. Release Me however is IMO a hit!

I try really hard not to compare books as I read them to others since I believe every story is its own and deserves a shot. So I ask that you look past the similarities and give Damien and Nikki their shot.

Damien Stark is a smokin’ hot ex tennis pro turned billionaire entrepreneur and he, of course, has his demons. So when he meets Nikki at a fundraiser that her boss has insisted she attended and attempt to woo Damien, you know sparks are going to fly! There is a bit of a back story to Nikki and Damien as they have met before years earlier and Nikki was the recipient of the Stark Educational Fund Scholarship so that does make this story run more towards the believable. Now, Nikki has her issues too, which I won’t give away here in this review. I will only say that what I like most about this book was that way the relationship unfolds between the characters. There is no crazy ass jealousy, both parties have secrets but they learn to trust each other. There are no huge bouts of misunderstandings, they actually friggin’ communicate! I know, crazy concept right? Yes, they have a lot of obstacles and issues but they work through them without a major overdose of drama! I loved that!

Now, I am not going to go into great detail, even though I would love to because I really loved this story, because it doesn’t actually release until January and I wouldn’t want spoilers out there. I can say this, there better be more books in this series! I mean it, this better not be the end because you will leave off wanting so much more! So I will fall back on the if you are a Fifty fan I firmly believe you will enjoy this book immensely!
